Job Purpose

 

People Advisor ACH will be responsible for guiding and developing the Austrian/Swiss business areas with all people related activities.

This will be through the provision of specialist People advice, support and guidance to Managers and employees, ensuring policies and processes are consistently, and professionally applied in line with legislation and global guidelines.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

  1. Strong responsible for taking ownership for delivering added value, providing People support to Senior Management and commercially focused Managers and their teams

  2. Provide personalised coaching to line managers in terms of people skills and general HR practices including Performance Management, Capability, Absence cases, equipping them to handle issues in a commercial, fair and appropriate manner

  3. Responsible for highlighting any local challenges (legal or cultural) and working with the People team

  4. Building and developing working relationships with social partners, management at regional level as well as within the local leadership

  5. Contributing and providing local input into to the development of the functional Employee Engagement Plan / People plan

  6. Working with the People Centre of Expertise and outsourced providers to ensure delivery of: trainings, payroll, effective recruitment and selection processes; reward and recognition mechanisms.

  7. Capture stakeholder feedback and make recommendations for improvement

  8. Handle payroll input actions in cooperation with the external payroll provider and the accounts payable team

 

Essential

 

 

  • Proven generalist HR experience showing strong business alignment, providing support and partnering a customer group in a management environment 
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer centric approach

  • Deep working knowledge of Austrian/Swiss employment law and HR best practice approaches

  • Ability to manage difficult and complex cases and stakeholders

  • Demonstrate the ability to challenge, build credibility and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Proven experience of developing and coaching a commercially focused population to engage in people management and improve leadership skills, with strong personal impact and the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the business 

  • Collaborative and effective team player used to work in a multi-national matrix organization

  • System-affine working method

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, proactive

  • Fluent German and English is required
